Benefits of Properly Installed Insulation

Professionally installed insulation provides effective warmth in the winter and helps cooling in the summer—all with the added benefit of energy savings.
  • Makes your home more energy efficient
  • Aids with home soundproofing
  • Improves home comfort
  • Enhances home value

Batt Insulation is a Cost-Effective Solution

Batt insulation is an economical solution to save energy as well as keep the home warmer in cooler temperatures, and cooler during the hot season.
It is typically used in floors, walls, attic, and basements.
Batt insulation comes in pre-formed panels that fit snugly between the studs. It can fit in almost any space to block gaps.
Batt insulation comes in two forms: fiberglass or rock wool. We offer both.
It is quite effective in keeping heat within the home. In summer, it helps keep the home cooler.
It is one of the less expensive ways to insulate as part of a new home build.

Blown-In Insulation for Energy Efficiency

Blown-in insulation is installed with the help of specialty equipment. Also known as “loose-fill,” this fibreglass insulation is typically used in attics and is highly effective in hard to cover spaces.
The insulation easily fits into the attic nooks and crannies that are otherwise challenging to get a good cover to prevent cold or hot air entering the house.
Blown in insulation is helpful in reducing outside noises like rain and the sounds heard from room to room.
The 6-mil vapour barrier installed prior to blow in can also help with indoor air quality as it has a barrier to prevent airborne pollutants from entering your home due to air leaks.
We also install adequate venting in attic spaces while doing blown in insulation to help prevent mold and moisture damage.

Spray Foam Insulation Improves R-Value

Spray foam insulation is very effective and has the highest R-Value per inch.
R-values are insulation ratings that are measured per inch of thickness and provides data on insulation efficiency.
The higher the R-value, the higher the energy effectiveness and typically a higher price which can be offset by lower energy costs.
Another benefit of spray foam is that it reduces air leaks more effectively than other insulation.
It is also effective in hard-to-reach areas such as box ends and plumbing stacks.

Air Sealing Your Home

Air leaks in your home make the rooms less comfortable as well as increases your heating and air conditioning costs.
Weather stripping and caulking can be a do-it-yourself project, but air sealing for a home renovation or new home construction is best left to experienced professionals.
Basically, air sealing eliminates air leaks in the home around plumbing penetrations, electrical outlets, and chimneys.
We utilize a variety of materials including spray foam for specific applications and trouble spots.
